As you may know, today is/was World Poetry Day . Around these parts, it's coming to a close, but it's not quite over yet! I've been trying to post to FB and tweet  quite regularly all day, so this post will be like a round up of poetic goodness. You may also know that I am very interested in languages and translation, so I've tried to share as many translated poems as I share English ones. (You may also know that I am attempting to self teach a few languages, but I'll talk about that in more detail a little later). I tried to make today into a little project, and though I didn't do as much as I would've liked, I'm quite happy with what I did. My idea was to bring art and poetry together with loose illustrations based on the poems I'd share. I was going to paint abstract paintings but it didn't quite work out that way. Well, enough talk! World Poetry Day

Hi all! I've not been posting as much as I would like to, though I do have a post up my sleeve which will be written between now and mid-April.. However I really wanted to write something for World Poetry Day, so I'm going to post links to some poems I like. If you check my Facebook page, I have quoted a few poems already. Guilt by John Betjeman This Be The Verse by Philip Larkin Things by Fleur Adcock Station by Connie Bensley  (from Poems on the Underground) Day in Autumn by Rilke These are just a few poems I like or find interesting. 'Guilt' is probably my favourite of these five. Thanks for reading, and if you like my blog, remember to check my FB page for more updates and quotes.

And paint a picture, write more poetry, write my essays.. Well, you know how it goes, you talk about doing things instead of doing them. Or you actively procrastinate. A deadline coming up and you need to finish writing that essay? Now is a great time to start cleaning the house! A presentation to finish for class tomorrow? Let's sort out the clothes in colour piles. (OK, I don't really do that second one. Alright, maybe not the first one either, not the whole ho...
