Weekly Recap + To Do List

Orléans, October 2014

Week Recap

Today is Friday, it's quite cold and I'm not motivated to leave the flat, so why not update my blog? And why not create a new weekly 'article'? I think every Friday from now on, I will try to write a weekly recap of my year abroad adventures. Hopefully I'll actually remember stuff I did...

  • Monday: I don't work on Mondays, so I was able to rest. Then, I went ice skating and after that met with my potential new landlord.
  • Tuesday: I work till 15h. I spent the remainder of the afternoon packing my stuff, which seems to have doubled in amount since I arrived in France. I go to a meeting, and then my previous host family pack all my stuff in the car and drive me to my new home.
  • Wednesday: Working in the morning. I shop on my way back. Spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning and tidying between bouts on internet time. Cooked my first lunch and dinner in my new flat.
  • Thursday: Working in the morning. Afternoon class still cancelled. I mostly faff about on the internet but still do a few mildly productive things.
  • Friday: In the morning, the other elementary school assistants and I have a meeting at the ESPE. I walk home, which takes about 20 minutes, and have lunch. Since then, I've been faffing around and watching Adventure Time episodes.

101 things in 1001 days

I first saw this project on Chloe's page, and I thought it would be a good idea. I started to compile my list a few weeks back, but then forgot about it and didn't finish it.. Anyway, I've started over, so the new starting date will be today. I've not actually got 101 things yet, but if I don't start now, I never will! I might also combine it with a "things I wish to do during my year abroad" list.
Here's my list so far:

  1. YAY Morocco! I really want to do this thing called Touraine Cheval, where you ride a horse through the Loire Valley...dream. I was hoping to go hot-air ballooning in Turkey but the place where people usually do it is really far from Istanbul. So excited you're doing this list and thanks for linking up! :)
