Poem Sketching - Song of Sorrow

Song of Sorrow

Kicking around pine cones
It's cold, the wind
Pushes raindrops against my face
Beating, tiny notes of music
Lamenting.

Would it not be wondrous - grow wings,
fly up, add notes - the soft
dancing notes of a tambourine.

  1. Ah, the cold and wind and raindrops are definitely reason to lament.

  2. I'd prefer the sound of a tambourine to the sound of the cold biting wind.

  6. I love your sketch and what a delightful poem. I often wish I could fly high like a bird and soar on the thermal winds to warmer places.

  13. Lovely writing. Nature reflecting one's mood and making sad music, the yearning for the tambourine of joy. Very well written. I enjoyed this so much.
